Job Description

cFocus Software seeks a Technical Writer/Editor, Journeyman to join our program supporting the US Navy. This position is remote. This position requires a Secret clearance.

Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering degree; or a degree in a Mathematics or Engineering field.
• 3 – 10+ years of experience in the preparation of Department of Defense documents related to instruction manuals, system specifications, SOPs, Military Standards, software program test plans, configuration guides, administrative guides, and user guides.
• Experience in engineering or computer science arena.
• Experience using MS Word, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Power Point software.
• Experience with Atlassian Confluence or similar knowledge management software.
• Possess knowledge of the Government Printing Office Style Manual

Duties:
 

• Responsible for the development, implementation, editing, and evaluation of written materials in support of the program both utilized internally and externally.
• Responsible for configuration management and versioning control of all written documentation in support of the program.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure information within technical documents is accurate and comprehensive.
• Responsible for ensuring documentation formatted per program and DON policy.
