Description
The Altus team supports a high-impact program designed to deliver technical expertise in energetics development and manufacturing to enhance defense capabilities. As part of this mission, Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) requires engineering support to improve efficiency and maintain effectiveness in operations and modernization efforts.
In this role as the Junior Engineer, you’ll immediately contribute to design and documentation support, assisting in testing and analysis efforts across the program.
This is a contingent role with a projected start date of June 2025.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in engineering design functions on various energetic materials manufacturing projects.
Support document creation, including drawings and standard operating procedures.
Conduct basic statistical analysis and assist in analyzing test results.
Provide support for maintaining and organizing technical data packages (TDPs).
Perform data entry and assist in transcription of technical documents.
Collaborate with project managers and technical personnel to ensure project success.
Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field
Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant technical experience in engineering
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Other Requirements: Strong technical documentation and analytical skills
